Two individuals have kicked the bucket and three are in a genuine condition after a genuine crash on SH16 close Woodhill.
The crash occurred amongst Restal and Kiwitahi Rds close Woodhill School in a matter of seconds before 5pm.
St John said the three genuinely harmed patients were taken to Auckland City Hospital.
Waitemata Senior Sergeant Jesse Mowat said a northbound driver lost control of his vehicle.
“The driver seems to have floated into the southbound path where his vehicle has cut a van. Accordingly the driver of the Nissan has veered assist into the southbound path and has successfully had a head-on crash with another vehicle traveling south.”
The Nissan burst into flames, he stated, and two individuals in the auto kicked the bucket.
Police are exploring the reason for the crash yet the street was wet and it was sprinkling at the time, Mowat said.
“We are absolutely thinking about [weather] as a factor.”
The crash was blocking movement traveling southbound with crisis administrations shutting the street while they work at the scene.
Drivers are requested to stay away from the territory.
Police would not remark whether the crash was climate related.
