A man who took a chance with his life to spare his family as their home went up on fire has passed on very nearly a month after their house was decimated by flame.
Bruce Smith, of Piha, has been distinguished as the man who endured serious consumes in the early hours of December 6, when a fire broke out at the family’s two-story home.
Smith, who was taken to Middlemore Hospital’s consumes unit, had been in the emergency unit a basic condition. Be that as it may, on Thursday, he lost his fight.
