One dead, two fundamentally harmed following two-fender bender south of Foxton that has shut SH1

One individual has kicked the bucket following a genuine two-auto accident south of Foxton which shut State Highway 1 before tonight.

Two other individuals are battling for their lives in Wellington Hospital in a basic condition.

The occurrence occurred around 6.35pm and redirections were set up by means of SH50.

“Redirections stay set up and the Serious Crash Unit is examining,” police said.

“Police are attempting to recognize the expired individual and situate closest relative.”

Four other individuals have passed on New Zealand streets since late Friday night, this most recent demise being the primary today.

NZTA announced the occurrence south of Foxton – the second genuine accident on SH1 tonight – occurred at the crossing point of SH1 and Newth Rd.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand representative said two apparatuses had gone to the occurrence, one from Foxton and the other from Waitarere Beach.

A Fire and Emergency NZ representative said a rescue vehicle and a helicopter were likewise on the scene.
